Support Groups / Sessions

Our support groups / sessions offer an opportunity to share your thoughts with others and learn important coping skills.

Attending a support group / session can provide you with a chance to be with people who have a common purpose and are likely to understand one another. A professional facilitates as you share your thoughts with peers.  As COVID-19 creates challenges in our world, continued recovery becomes more difficult to implement in our day-to-day lives. Jewish Family Service Houston's (JFS) structured support groups focus on providing knowledge and tools to improve your coping skills and ability to self-care.

Our list of support groups/sessions changes as the needs in the community change, so be sure to check the schedule for the most current groups offered. All groups are free of charge unless otherwise indicated.

JFS Houston welcomes all racial, ethnic, religious and cultural backgrounds and is a safe place for all gender expressions and sexual orientations.

Due to the pandemic, all of our support groups are being delivered remotely.

We provide:
  • A safe space to connect
  • An opportunity to share your thoughts with peers
  • An environment of understanding
  • A professional facilitator in each group
