Position Summary

The Employment Services Department assists JFS clients in finding and maintaining employment. The Business Developer builds and grows business relationships that will provide employment opportunities for management, professional and entry level clients.

Duties:
  • Developing business relationships and expanding contacts with new and existing employers.
  • Providing expert advice to clients regarding employment opportunities.
  • Advising employers and clients about work environments including virtual, remote and on-site environments.  
  • Developing and presenting vocational workshops to employers and clients.
  • Representing JFS at employer meetings and conferences.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree required (Master’s preferred) in business, human resources, or career development.
  • Minimum 5 years' work experience in job development, recruitment, or business to business sales.
  • Ability to organize work effectively, conceptualize and prioritize objectives and exercise independent judgment.
  • Adept problem-solving skills, ability to think outside the box, and to implement new ideas.
  • Current knowledge about job search including resume writing, networking and interviewing skills.
  • Proficient written, verbal, interpersonal and computer database management skills.
  • Ability to visit employer worksites either in person or virtually.
