Joan and Stanford Alexander For the Good of Life Fund
Matching grant challenge to build an endowment for adults with disabilities.
Established in 2019, Joan and Stanford Alexander matched donations to this fund dollar for dollar through September 2021. Gifts in the amount of $36 to $1,000,000 have been made, building towards a multi-million fund that will sustain this nurturing employment program.

Award to Recognize Exceptional Alexander Jewish Family Service Board Leaders
Given annually, this award was established by a couple deeply committed to Alexander JFS. Recipients attend the National Conference of the Network for Jewish Human Service Agencies in order that they may further their knowledge and growth as an agency leader.

For Professional Development of Alexander Jewish Family Service Staff
Established in honor of the second Executive Director of Alexander JFS Houston, Sol Brownstein, upon his retirement. It provides opportunities for staff to attend workshops and conferences to continue their professional development.
Financial Stability
Susan and Michael Bono Fortitude Fund
Established to Provide Financial Assistance to Alexander JFS Clients
Provides tangible resources for individuals, families and seniors who are experiencing significant financial stress. Financial stability case managers evaluate client situations and work with the client to stabilize their situation and teach skills for maintaining that stability.

Velva G. and H. Fred Levine
Shabbat Box Program
After receiving a Shabbat Box as a patient, Velva Levine better understood the power of this weekly program which provides colorful boxes created by local Jewish teens, filled with Shabbat treats. This fund ensures this life affirming custom continues.
