Event Schedule

Session 1: Monday, June 13 to Friday, July 1 (3 weeks)

Session 2: Monday, July 11 to Friday, July 29 (3 weeks)

Session 3: Monday, August 1 to Friday, August 12 (2 weeks)

Event Overview

Opportunities for Success Employment Summer Program provides teens and young adults (ages 14 to 24, with or without a disability) a summer vocational program that prepares them for future meaningful work.   

Program Specifics include:

  • Job Exploration – Interests and abilities assessments
  • Work Based Learning Experience - Unpaid internship
  • Workplace Readiness Training - Soft-skills training, employability skills training, social/interpersonal skills
  • Postsecondary Educational Counseling - Counseling on postsecondary educational institution options
  • Self-Advocacy - Disability disclosure, requesting accommodation, and navigating disability resources

This program will be led by JFS Employment Staff and college level job coaches. For employment as a job coach, please go to our Career page.

Jewish Family Service (4131 South Braeswood Houston, TX 77025) and other local non-profits in Southwest and Central Houston

Cost

Session 1 (Monday, June 13 to Friday, July 1): $825.00

Session 2 (Monday, July 11 to Friday, July 29): $825.00

Session 3 (Monday, August 1 to Friday, August 12): $550.00

Scholarships are available; please indicate need on your registration form.
