April Meeting Focus: Wellness Recovery Action Planning (WRAP)
WRAP is a collaborative wellness tool that anyone can use to promote mental and physical wellbeing. Initially designed as a mental health support, it can engage medical and life challenges for individuals and families. Individuals or families collaborate with two WRAP facilitators to create a customized wellness plan that meets their specific needs.
- Mary Sampietro is a Mental Health Peer Specialist and WRAP Level 2 Facilitator. She supports clients at a local mental health authority as they move toward lives filled with hope and meaning. Mary engages each community member from a perspective that is strengths-based, person-centered, and trauma-informed.
- Michael Boesewetter has been in the mental health field for 37 years. He is a Mental Health Peer Specialist and Trainer for MHPS courses. Michael is also a WRAP Level 2 Facilitator and has incorporated the WRAP system in many different parts of his life to manage arising challenges with proactive plans.
