Managing Depression and Anxiety

CBT/ACT skills group

This course is designed to provide adults with tools to better manage depression and anxiety coming from constant worries, relationship distress, dysregulated emotions, and negative perception of self. 

It is designed to provide practical tools to recognize, understand, and manage patterns of feelings, thoughts, and behaviors, to help improve mental health and wellbeing.

Participants will learn and practice evidenced-based skills from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), to better cope with difficult emotions or challenging situations, increase ability to make healthier choices and proactive changes, and build a sense of empowerment and self-acceptance.

Logistics

Group will be held in person, at JFS Houston (4131 S. Braeswood, Houston, TX, 77025), Mondays 6:00 -7:00 PM, for 8 consecutive weeks.

Cost

The cost for this 8-weeks skills group is $80. Payment must be made in advance, upon registration. Payment is non-refundable.
