This continuing education event reviews various Play Therapy theories that can be utilized in the context of Play Therapy Groups. Participants will learn methods and skills for forming, assessing, facilitating, and evaluating Play Therapy Groups. Participants will practice group Play Therapy skills and interventions in an interactive learning format. Training will be live and in-person only. At the end of this workshop, the learner will be able to:
Recite the core theoretical concepts of Play Therapy that match well with group modalities
Identify best practices for forming and facilitating Play Therapy groups
Identify best practices for assessing and evaluating Play Therapy groups
Demonstrate basic knowledge of group Play Therapy methods and skills
Describe how Play Therapists use the therapeutic powers of play to engage multiple group members with different presenting problems
Assess when Group Play Therapy is an appropriate intervention for a client

Registration refunds must be requested at least 48 hours prior to the class date and only 75% of the purchase price will be refunded.

It is the responsibility of the participant to review and follow the instructions and guidelines of Association for Play Therapy to apply for and attain all requirements for Registered Play Therapist credential. Alexander JFS is not responsible for completing the credentialing applications of participants and cannot guarantee that participant’s applications will be approved.
